Can I be stopped and arrested for DUI in Florida even if the vehicle was not moving?

In Florida, you can be stopped and arrested even if the vehicle in which you were in was not moving. The officers can stop and investigate you for DUI if they believe that you were behind the wheel sometime shortly before you were stopped. However, even if you were not driving, the officers can find that you are in physical control of a motor vehicle by finding that you’re in possession of the keys or if you reasonably have the ability to operate that vehicle.
